Taureau

The Bull appears throughout ancient mythology as a symbol of divine power and fertility. Zeus transformed himself into a white bull to abduct Europa; the Cretan Bull was the beast from which the Minotaur was born. In Mesopotamia the constellation was associated with the storm god and with the spring plowing season. The bull's earthly strength and its connection to agricultural abundance make it a natural emblem of material security and sustenance.

Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, oriented toward the senses, stability, and the pleasures of the physical world. Planets here operate with patience, persistence, and a strong need for security. Taurus resists change not out of fear but because it values what has been carefully built. The shadow is stubbornness and an excessive attachment to comfort and possessions.
