Overview
**I see beyond.** The distant horizon: enthusiasm, the search for meaning, the hunger for freedom and significance.
Mythology
Sagittarius is identified with Chiron, the wise centaur who tutored heroes such as Achilles, Jason, and Asclepius -- though in other traditions the archer is the satyr Crotus, son of Pan, inventor of archery. The centaur figure unites the animal and the divine: the horse's raw power guided by human intellect and aimed toward a distant target. It is the mythological image of aspiration -- the arrow launched toward a horizon beyond the immediate world.
Interprétation
Sagittarius is a fire sign ruled by Jupiter, motivated by the search for meaning, truth, and ever-expanding horizons. Planets here are enthusiastic, philosophical, and drawn to travel, foreign cultures, and the larger questions of existence. Sagittarius at its best is the open mind that synthesises experience into wisdom; its shadow is dogmatism, restlessness, and an inability to commit to anything that feels limiting.
